Tal de Guzman, the instructor for this course, is the social-entrepreneur founder of Risqué Designs (a 9-year old, proudly-Filipino shoe brand and manufacturer) and co-founder of Stride Collective (a marketplace for ethically handmade shoe brands). She has dedicated her professional life to promoting Philippine craftsmanship and has been teaching workshops and classes since 2016 to help increase demand for artisan skills. She was a former teacher at SoFA Design Institute and is currently teaching at the College of Saint Benilde and holding workshops at various studios such as Soulflower and Maartsy.
