Sumandals

The Sumandals are inspired by the "suman"-- a Filipino rice cake traditionally wrapped in banana, coconut or buri leaves. This design was lovingly handmade with natural and dyed tikog, mixed with man-made leather. 

Please note that these are individually handmade, therefore minor variation from photo and some imperfections make the pieces more unique and signify that it is not mass-produced by machines. 

This collection was designed by Tal de Guzman of Risqué for a project with Padayon Handicrafts. These pieces were inspired by Filipino kakanin (or rice-based snacks) like the Bibingka and Suman. The shoes and bags are made of Tikog and man-made leather.

All items are for pre-order. Lead time is between 2 to 6 weeks.
